Iggy's - Not Bad

Basically, the food at Iggy's (namely, the set lunch) may not induce that "wow" reaction, as expected from one of the top restaurants in the world, but in it's own right with some hits and misses, the food is ....well...quite nice.

The tomatoes served were probably the best I had tasted since they were so sweet, refreshing and moist. The duck confit was bursting with flavours and the meat was tender and soft, almost breaking apart the moment I set my fork in. The desserts were so-so though (the mango pudding is way too sour, I thought a place like Iggy's should be using premium Indian ice cream mangoes?), I can make better ones, though I do like the black sesame cake which was made by themselves, which had that homely feel.

The service is professional with no slip-ups, though very cold, much colder than the service of most of the restaurants I had been to (excluding those with lousy service which are not even worth mentioning). Definitely not my choice of dining place if I'm in a casual mood.

Though if I'm in a mood for very formal fine dining, I don’t mind still coming here, though not my top choice.

My Thoughts: Nice!
