The dim sum items (with exception for Xiao long bao which was badly made with a clump of flour skin on the top) are very exquisite in presentation with unique twists or decadent ingredients incorporated. From Har Gow with bamboo shoots, beancurd roll with bamboo pith in soup to the porridge, all are very tasty, not overly salty; pure comfort Chinese food. I absolutely appreciate the creativity the chef had displayed in the creation of dishes since I get bored easily with the same old dim sum available in numerous restaurants.
The whole place is lined with beautiful and impressive looking lamps and lightings, probably one of the most grandeur looking Chinese restaurant I had seen.
The service is though of the almost same as, if not slightly better than the standard of other Crystal Jade restaurants, not bad but not being exceptional either. Not really comparable to the likes of Summer Palace and Li Bai. And yes, I fussed about peanuts being served as appetizer and the lack of napkins; I was expecting more from this restaurant. The main saving grace on the service side is the friendly deposition of the front counter staffs who bided farewell in a warm manner which puts a great end to my meal there.
Will definitely want to savour these unique dim sum items again.
