Ryugetsu Kabanoki

I always love cakes whose the percentage of the cream to sponge cake is more than 50%. Ryugetsu Kabanoki Hokkaido Roll Cake definitely satisfies on this department. In fact, I have yet found another roll cake with higher content of cream than this one.


Smooth, mildly sweet, rich, extremely creamy, fragrant, yummy cream paired with a dollop of custard—truly heavenly stuff. The thin sponge is slightly on the dry side, but the rich cream and custard are more than enough to make up for it.

Going to buy at least 3 boxes of this the next time.
