Silk Restaurant (SICC) - Quite impressive

I got the chance to dine at Silk due to a CNY treat, so this post is purely based on the CNY set menu which I personally feel that do not showcase the head chef's creativity and the general standard of the food. Though I can say that quality ingredients are used since the dishes are light in taste (using minimum strong tasting sauces since fresh ingredients do not need that to cover the stale taste) and I did not get an allergy reaction from eating the abalone with dried oyster sauce (Non quality seafood always cause massive allergy in me). Need to note that despite being light on seasonings, the dishes are nonetheless very tasty and the yu sheng is one of the best I had eaten and the goby fish is fresh and so creamy in texture, going very well with the traditional Hong Kong sauce.

Ambience is traditional chic Chinese setting and the view at SICC's Golf course is scenic and refreshing, though signs of aging showed on the fabric chairs with fibres coming out. Generally speaking, the service is decent and the local Chinese auntie service staff at our table is dedicated to her job, being proactive, helpful and quick witted.

No score since CNY treat is not a fair assessment of a restaurant.
