Since we don’t want to climb the stairs to get to Arakura Sengen Shrine, we start looking for a nice cafe to chill and relax. And we found Cafe Yorozuya.
This quaint small cafe is of open concept, with a small stall plus picnic tables and chairs around the stall. Surrounded by fields and low rise buildings, we have such a good time feeling the gentle breeze of autumn, immersing in the countryside atmosphere, eating some ice-cream and sipping nice hot or refreshing drinks.
I opt for matcha latte, and I like it a lot. So much that I snap up a packet of matcha latte when I see one at a store in Kyoto.
As support for small local businesses and the fact that I enjoy my time here, I also buy a packet of Tsujiri green tea from this cafe. And it turns out to be one of the best green teas I ever have. Clear and pure with a distinctive astringent aroma of matcha, this makes for such soothing and refreshing drink.
Thoughts: Lovely cafe!
