Frutia Gummy Candy

Little guilty pleasures come in the form of Frutia Gummy Candy, which has Lychee, Shine Muscat and Lychee flavours.

I love Shine Muscat, Lychee and Yuzu, so I got these gummy candies when I saw them in Don Don Donki. The texture is bouncy and the taste is so on the point.

Rokkatei Strawberry Chocolate

The floral pattern on the cup is so pretty. Anyway, most important is still what's inside the cup. Freeze-dried strawberry is like a strawberry cookie filled with 100% goodness and sweet aroma of strawberries. And the sweetness and richness of white chocolate go so well with the tart taste of the strawberry. A very distinctive and unique sweet.

Audrey Gracia Strawberry

Unbelievably beautiful wrapping paper, box, paper bag and of course, the cookies! Sure to impress if given as gift. I like the packaging so much that I took lots of photos of this as seen below lol. Also perfect for personal indulgence.

I love this sweet because of the half piece of freeze-dried strawberry adorning the cream. It is like concentrated strawberry goodness in cookie form due to its crunchiness. There is no other confectionary that is like this, I love it. The cream adds the creaminess and moisture while the thin cookie wrap is so crispy, yet has this melt-in-your-mouth quality. A very well-put together ensemble. Highly recommend to spoilt oneself with in the comforts of one's home.

Kumamoto Castle under the Moon

Super cute mooncake, or what Japanese called it, manju! It's only as big as a tablespoon. And it's delicious too, being moist with lots of white bean paste filling and thin layer of dough. And there is a hint of the aroma of toasted chestnut to make it unique, which is how I like it.

Fukuoka Hakata Strawberry Kirara

Beautiful packaging and delicious cookie full of goodness of real strawberries. A real yummy treat that will appeal to almost all palates. I also love the crispy wafer bits added into the filling for extra texture and crunch.

Hakata Hiroko 5 colors story

Super cute chicks! Best to eat these with a cup of tea. My favourite got to be the strawberry one since it is full of strawberry aroma plus a bit of tangy flavour of real strawberries. Sakura is pretty good too.

Hakata Gyokuro Manju

Bitter, aromatic, smooth green tea paired with super creamy milky finely grated bean paste is a delight to enjoy. The manju is very moist with thin dough skin, easy to finish in one bite. And this manju won the Monde Selection 2020.

LeTao Langue de Chat au Fromage

Cheese filling made with Mascarpone Cheese is definitely a winner, as long as no chocolate is added. LeTAO, famous for its fromage cheesecake, immediately caught my attention when I was browsing for Japanese snacks. Without a second thought, I ordered this cheese cookie biscuit. It didn’t disappoint. The cheese filling is out of this world. The cookie has that slight melt-in-your-mouth quality. A good buy.

NewYork Perfect Cheese

The ultimate decadent Japanese Sweets: the combination of melt-in-your-mouth cookie biscuit, silky cream and slightly salty Gouda cheese with nutty goodness. It will impress on first bite. But it is very delicate, so handle with care and store in the fridge upon receipt. Let it warm up to room temperature to unlock the flavours before savouring.

Annabella Patisserie - Macaron Dream

Firm shells with generous buttery filling, plus subtle flavours is the key to yummy macarons. And Annabelle Patisserie nails it all. The icing on the cake is that there are lots of flavours to try.

And I love the convenience of ordering online. This becomes my first choice to send as gifts to my loved ones when we can’t meet up duecto circumstances.

Annie’s Homegrown Organic Bunny Fruit Snacks

Made with organic ingredients, tapioca instead of corn, with no yucky stuff like artificial colours and flavours, and preservatives, this brand of gummies is one of the best sweets available on the market.

I also like its natural lemon flavour and the texture, which is slightly chewy, easy to bite and does not stick to the teeth.

Absolutely one of the best choices to give to children. But still, need to watch the sugar intake.

The Natural Confectionery

Actually, I have no idea why sweets and candies manufacturers choose to put all the artificial colourings and flavourings (and even Made in China where food safety is of a concern) into their products meant for consumption by kids. Is it okay to entice the kids to eat all those stuff pumped full of chemicals? As consumers, we have a choice to choose quality products, including dandy little sweets.

The things I like about The Natural Confectionery sweets are that no artificial stuff is used and the sweets are bursting with natural flavours of fruits, leaving no strange aftertaste. The hardness and texture are just right, a little bit chewy only, quite soft (even after putting into the refrigerator) and not waxy. I had tried some other brands which are using natural ingredients also, but are not as good when it comes to right hardness.

Though this is quality stuff, but too much sweets is still bad for health, so take in moderation.
