The Feather Blade - Cool Modern Fusion and Cocktails

August special of Crab Meatballs with Chilli Crab Sauce brings me to this cool, cozy, posh bar and steakhouse with arched ceilings, soft glowing geometric lamps, red floodlight and neon signage. And a fruitful trip this is 😉

The food here is like the mother of all fusions, where the core of European cuisine is infused with Japanese, American and local influences, and it works! To top it off, different kinds of sauces are used with the cuisines we are familiar with to provide a refreshing take on it. I love all the decadents, specials and sides I have tried here.

The service crew here is very friendly and always on the go to respond to requests, so that I can totally enjoy the experience dining here.

When there is seafood on the menu, can always count on me to try it, and thus naturally, my eyes zoom in on Shrimp Cocktail immediately. These fresh crustaceans are incredibly huge, plump and succulent, packed with briny sweetness. The special chilli sauce, which is smooth, mildly spicy and sweet, also perks up the taste.

Crab Meatballs with Chilli Crab Sauce is the new menu item that made me set on coming here to have my lunch. Within the crispy sphere of golden breadcrumbs is a huge ganache of pure light-umami-pumped crab meat. Thumbs-up for this! The shredded crab meat is a tad dry when eaten on its own, but it is oh-so-good when paired with the spicy, rich chilli crab sauce. The sauce adds the moisture and layers of excitement to the taste of meatballs without eclipsing the subtle sweetness of the crab meat. Best enjoyed by dunking the bitten-off side of meatballs into the sauce.


Miso Glazed Scallops is so succulent, holding the essence of the sea, which is highlighted by miso and the tinge of aroma of grilled meat. What I love about these scallops is that almost the whole scallop is served, so I can enjoy different parts of the scallop that are all so well-done. Aductor muscle is springy in texture, juicy and briny sweet. The gonads ( the orange part) is creamy and more intense in taste. The mantle is stretchy and packed thoroughly with the flavours of miso. One of the best scallops I have savoured.


Creamy, milky Burratina, which is one of my favourite cheeses, is such a lovely treat to indulge in when it goes with the savoury, sweet, earthy, flavourful truffle honey.

I like the rose cream cheese of Rose Tiramisu so much. And it does well to balance the bitter flavour of coffee. While I'm no fan of coffee, I finish this easily so it is good. But I think I will prefer it if there is a non-coffee version.

French Martini is fruity with interesting hints of herbal taste from the Rosemary. A nice concoction.





Thoughts: Absolutely great place to chill and enjoy good fusion dishes.
