Hakata Hiroko 5 colors story

 

Super cute chicks! Best to eat these with a cup of tea. My favourite got to be the strawberry one since it is full of strawberry aroma plus a bit of tangy flavour of real strawberries. Sakura is pretty good too.

Hakata Gyokuro Manju

Bitter, aromatic, smooth green tea paired with super creamy milky finely grated bean paste is a delight to enjoy. The manju is very moist with thin dough skin, easy to finish in one bite. And this manju won the Monde Selection 2020.

Fluff Stack - Fluffy Goodness

I love soufflé pancake. So I know I got to give Fluff Stack a try when I heard about it.

Jiggly, fluffly, moist, sweet puffs of cloud-like pancake is simply a joy to savour. It instantly melts in one’s mouth, leaving a lingering taste of freshly baked cake. Maple syrup adds a caramel goodness to the pancake while the light chantilly cream enhances the taste with its creamy goodness. There is butter cream added at the side. It’s a rich interesting combination with the pancake. Personally, I prefer the chantilly cream though since it melts together with the pancake while the butter cream takes a little while more.

I like the salted caramel ice-cream because it actually tastes salty. I like this interesting taste of salt in the sweet ice-cream.

The furnishings is of sweet colours, great for gatherings, especially with the ladies. When I have a craving for soufflé pancake, this place definitely comes to mind.

Creamery Boutique Ice Creams - Interesting Lava Cookies

Lava cookie, the minute I heard about this, I immediately jump into ordering some to try. Since it really sounds unique and I’m curious how it matches up to the beloved lava cake.

The cookie is definitely better than most cookies due to the moisture from the ganache that flows out like lava when some pressure is put on the top of the cookie. I’m not a cookie person, but I love cookies here. And my favourite cookie is surprisingly, Matcha! The slight bitterness of matcha works so well with the sweetness of the cookie and the tangy flavours of the cream cheese ganache to yield a cookie that has dimension in taste profile.

The ice-cream menu features some interesting flavours like White Chocolate Caramel, Maple Walnut, Bread Toast and Thai Tea. I highly recommend Maple Walnut because of the crunchiness of the whole walnuts added. The ice-creams does have a bit of sorbet texture, which will appeal to those who like their ice-creams light.

I think the lava cookie + handmade ice-cream combo works and appeals to many, me included. Going to order more soon!
